Rosie Broderson, Baritone Horn
Thanks to you, my interest in music was given to my two girls. The oldest played Alto Sax and then went to Tenor Sax. She played in Marching Band, Concert Band, Pep Band, Jazz Band and also played the piano. The youngest girl played the trumpet then went to French Horn. She also played in Marching Band, Pep Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band and played in a lot of contests on French Horn and Piano. She was chosen to attend the Iowa All-State Band and was on their tour to six countries in Europe . Both girls have their children in piano and bands in their schools in Iowa and Minnesota . I am very proud of them. I want to thank you for helping me with my Baritone in High School. I remember telling you I can't hit that note, and you'd say "Can't did nothing until he tried." I passed that statement to my girls also. You were a wonderful music Instructor and I did win First Place in State Contest with my Baritone. You also had the school buy a new Baritone so I could play that. Our Band respected you and you were missed when you left Homer. God Bless You.
